Projects & Events

A series of gardening presentations held each Tuesday evening for six weeks starting in February. Two presentations are given each night on a variety of gardening topics.

Volunteers help children at the YFS Kids Fair start seeds in a peat pot to take home and nurture.

An educational herb garden maintained by PCMG volunteers in the Bill Noordermeer Formal Gardens in Sioux Park.

An educational garden for young children located in Storybook Island that includes a vegetable garden and a sensory garden designed with plants for children to touch and smell.

An annual all-day educational event held on the first Saturday of March for Master Gardener continuing education and community outreach.

Master Gardeners oversee a booth at the farmers market every Saturday of the summer to answer horticulture questions.

Garden centers in town request Master Gardeners to be available early in the season to answer questions about trees, shrubs, and bedding plants.

A plant-sharing community event held in May to encourage and educate local gardeners. Master Gardeners, Garden Club members, and community members bring plants to share.
